Women In LAVA and Pivotal Labs are excited to announce our next joint strategy-focused event on October 24, 2017:
"Hypothesis Driven Management: Learn how to reduce risk
and create the product customers want."
This is a hands on, experiential session which will take you through the initial stages of assessing the next steps for your company and potential product launch.
Here's a brief description of what you will experience:
Workshop Objectives and Agenda:
Building new products will always be challenging and never without risk. However, the processes for creating the right solution, increasing market fit and reducing time to market have evolved significantly over the last decade.
Learn how to:
· Identify your biggest risk
· Create an approach for reducing that risk
· Leverage your customers to test your new approach
· Generate better insights about your user that will inform all future development
The session will be led by Sr. Product Manager Karina Villanueva and Associate Director Prity Patel at Pivotal Labs in Los Angeles.
Karina works with startups and enterprises to coach them on modern product development practices in situations of extreme uncertainty. She leverages her background in User Centered Design and Engineering in order to pair with clients to empathize with end users and ship [is this the intended word?] the right product for the users. She is an experienced facilitator who creates engaging, useful and fun activities for participants to engage and practice new skills. In addition, Karina is interested in the topic of technology appropriation and ethics of product design and management.
As a part of the Leadership team in Santa Monica, Prity works closely with the XP and Lean delivery teams to ensure success for both start-up and enterprise clients. She has a passion for collaboration and problem solving and leverages her background in Product Management and Client Services to help teams transform product and software development practices within customer organizations.
